Director

Catherine Winstanley (Specialist Occupational Health Nurse Advisor)

I began my nursing career in 2000 achieving a Diploma and Degree in Adult nursing whilst working in a variety of community and hospital settings. I began to specialise in Public Health nursing working as a Nurse Practitioner in a Walk-In-Centre and a Triage Nurse for the Out-Of-Hour’s service before training as a Health Visitor.

Following completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing I worked as a specialist health visitor for teenage parents (Family Nurse Partnership Programme).

I found the most rewarding part of this role was getting young people to overcome health/social difficulties and helping them set goals to return to work or education.

Occupational Health was a natural step forward in my career and I spent time gaining additional qualifications (BSc Occupational Health) whilst working as a Disability Analyst and assessing people’s fitness for employment.

I then worked as an Occupational Health Advisor, Senior Occupational Health Advisor, Occupational Health Manager and Clinical Lead in public and private sectors before setting up my own company.

The vision for my company is to provide small and medium sized companies with an effective occupational health service from highly skilled clinicians that focus on customer care.

Leanne Orrick (MBACP)

I work in partnership with LCG Occupational Health Solutions to provide therapeutic interventions and counselling support.

Life can be hard, there’s no escaping that, but taking that initial step to contact a counsellor may be the life-changing encounter you’ve been needing. Whether your issues are from the past, ongoing in the present or worries about the future, I’ve got you covered.

If you need a safe space to figure out exactly what it is you need from life, a non-judgemental ear to listen without jumping in to add an opinion, a place where you can be yourself, hear yourself and learn to love yourself again…I’m your person. Whether you’re depressed or anxious, struggling to reach your goals or are somewhere in-between, lets figure it out together.

I trained for five years to become a qualified Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Counselling is not ‘one size fits all’ and sometimes a mix of approaches is necessary to get to the heart of the issue at hand.

My blend of calm and friendly therapy has helped so many people to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I genuinely love what I do!

If you feel you need someone easy to talk to who can help you to make sense of your world, please get in touch. It’s hard to admit that you do need help, I know.

But you’re in safe hands with me – I’m approachable, warm, calm, and committed to getting you to wherever you want to be in your life, no matter your starting point.

BACP Accredited Trauma Therapist

Claire Yates

I work in partnership with LCG Occupational Health Solutions to provide trauma therapy and critical incident debriefs in the workplace.

I am accredited trauma therapist and social worker with more than ten years’ experience of working in the mental health field. I am experienced in working with clients with complex mental health needs from a diverse background such as emergency service workers, humanitarian workers, people experiencing complex bereavement, birth trauma and people living with addiction. I am passionate about ending stigma relating to mental health and supporting people to recover and thrive.

I predominantly work utilising EMDR and have witnessed its transformative impact on clients’ lives. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. It is a unique, powerful therapy that helps people recover from problems triggered by traumatic events in their lives. It stops difficult memories causing so much distress by helping the brain to reprocess them properly, working with memory to heal the legacy of past pain.

EMDR therapy is best known for treating PTSD but can help with a range of mental health conditions in people of all ages including depression and anxiety.

Internationally recognised, EMDR therapy is endorsed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence; the World Health Organisation; The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies; the NHS (in the UK); and many other bodies. There are more than 10,000 trained EMDR therapists in the UK alone, and it has helped millions of people worldwide.
